At Monday Morning Meeting, Sienna received her first medal for her Destination Ticket being picked! One day, we were leaving at dismissal, and Ms. Cohen was walking down the stairs with a bin of pencils and then... she dropped them! Sienna saw what happened, wanted to help, so she went over and helped Ms. Cohen pick up all the pencils! KNOW, CARE, DO
She knew about the situation, cared that Ms. COhen needed help, so she went and helped!

We went outside for snack to take a look at our tree that we are observing and studying this year. Our last chance for the "summer season!"
After we looked and talked about the tree and weather that day, we draw the tree in our Weather Journals and then we write our observations.
In Writing Workshop, we finished up our Personal Narrative stories about a time when we reached out to a friend when they felt lonely or someone reached out to us. We were relating our stories to a book we read called, "Yo, Yes!"
On Thursday, the children were so happy to receive the letters their parents wrote back to them at Open House!
Sienna brought in a cricket that her dad found in her garage. It was really cool!
Sienna shared an amazing book she wrote during Writing Workshop! She even went and shared it with a 3rd grade class too! She is not finished, so we can't wait to hear the rest!
